Ethereum

This page lists what Farbeam reads on Ethereum. Live values are on the Ethereum data page. The API returns the same facts from Get a chain.

#What is indexed

Native ETH transfers and ERC-20 Transfer logs of the five tokens below, at $100,000 or more. Ethereum is the only EVM chain with a native scan.

#Quirks

  • Native scan reads the head block only. Each poll reads latest with full transactions. In the measurement above, the distance between reads was usually 1 block and sometimes 2, so ETH in a skipped block is not stored. ERC-20 logs do not have this gap, because the log range covers skipped blocks.
  • Top-level value only. The native scan reads tx.value. ETH moved inside a contract call is not seen.
  • Native ETH reads. The scan reads only the latest block of each poll, so ETH in other blocks is not stored. Each row at or above the threshold gets a receipt check, and a reverted transaction is not stored.
  • **token=ETH matches two chains.** Native ETH here, and the bridged ETH token on BNB Chain. Add chain=ethereum.
  • Wallet activity windows. Wallet activity asks for 5,000 blocks and steps down when the RPC refuses. A request on 2026-11-04 UTC for a busy exchange address returned blocks_scanned: 1000. Read that field, and do not assume a fixed window.

#Try it

curl -s "https://farbeamlabs.com/api/v1/chains/ethereum"
const res = await fetch("https://farbeamlabs.com/api/v1/chains/ethereum");
const { data } = await res.json();
console.log(data.status.status, data.status.head, data.tokens.length);
import requests

data = requests.get("https://farbeamlabs.com/api/v1/chains/ethereum", timeout=30).json()["data"]
print(data["status"]["status"], data["status"]["head"], len(data["tokens"]))

A rule for this chain, from the Beamline examples style: chain == "ethereum" and kind == "native" and usd >= 1m.
